Architecture in its current form serves only a select few. Architects are looking for high profile jobs that pay a lot and get reputation.  They want the larges, most reputable clients that will get their buildings the most praise.  With large budgets comes large flexibility.

Argument is that if architecture serves the highest 2% there is 98% in need of services who aren’t getting it, this provides an untapped market.
